Corporate | introductionIndustryOnline gambling is already a significant new industry with 2004 revenues (amounts lost by gamblers) worldwide exceeding $8bn or 37% higher than in 2003. In a study by eMarketer, online gaming revenues reached $10.9 billion in 2005, an increase of 28 per cent over 2004. The results come despite a number of countries such as the US, declaring internet gaming illegal. However, they still represent little more than 2% of the world gambling market. There is enormous scope for continued growth as both existing and new gamblers are tempted to play online. For further information click here for our fact sheet. LegislationOnline gambling tends to fall outside existing regulatory frameworks, which have been in force for many years. Furthermore, online gambling is in practice hard to regulate, given the nature of the internet. Hence many countries are grappling, in different ways, with how to regulate the online gambling industry. Inside Gaming recognise the fact that information regarding the legislation of the online gaming industry is not as clear as it should be, we therefore ask you to contact us if there are any questions regarding this subject. Inside Gaming has been authorised by the Lotteries and Gaming Authority of Malta to offer remote gaming (LGA/CL1/348/2007 and LGA/CL3/348/2007). On a voluntary basis we operate best practice in accordance with regulatory bodies to ensure that our products conform to the highest standards. Inside Gaming is currently able to offer licensing facilities in order to comply with the UK Gambling Commission. Inside Gaming does not accept players from the United States.
